Addenbrookes Charitable Trust
About us
ACT believes that every patient deserves the best possible care available. We provide funding for the extras that are needed to make a difference for patients at Cambridge University Hospitals.
What we do
ACT manages the charitable funds in an effective way ensuring that they are invested and disbursed successfully in areas of greatest or most urgent patient need at the hospitals. Funds are used to buy extra high-tech equipment, pay for additional specialist staff, contribute to environmental enhancements and fund research to improve the understanding of conditions and find possible cures for patients in Cambridge and around the world.
What we’re raising funds for
ACT looks after 300 funds to enhance patient care in departments, wards and clinics across the hospitals.
In addition, we are currently running three high profile appeals:
- The Rosie Hospital Appeal
Supporting an extension of our dedicated hospital for women’s, maternity and neonatal services - The Robot Appeal
To help save lives from prostate cancer - The Deakin Centre Appeal
Supporting safer services for patients through excellence in training
