Oxfordshire Community Foundation

Our future depends on raising happy, motivated and socially responsible young people – recent cuts in local funding have meant many voluntary services to support children, young people and families are no longer available to those who need them most.

The Oxfordshire Community Foundation (OCF) and the Oxfordshire Community and Voluntary Action (OCVA) have launched an initiative to bring partners together from the voluntary, public and private sectors to explore the potential for social finance in Oxfordshire. As a first step we are collaborating to use the tax free gift from your investment in an Allia Charitable Bond to enable us to fund grant applications from local community groups in need of immediate monies to continue their vital work and the delivery of their services to support children, young people and their families.

Research has shown early intervention and prevention really do make a difference and can help to break the cycle of deprivation. We want to ensure that every child, young person and family in Oxfordshire has someone who believes in them and will encourage them to dream that anything is possible.

About us

The Oxfordshire Community Foundation is a champion of local giving, dedicated to creating opportunities for community philanthropy. We work with donors, offering a full range of services to help them find local causes on their doorstep that matter.

Our local knowledge and expertise in grant making really do bring innovation and creativity to the endeavors of donors.

We have an established track record of successfully supporting small volunteer led, community based groups and projects that are taking action to make life better for local people, from urban to rural, everywhere in Oxfordshire.

This ensures that local charitable intentions are not made in isolation of the need but are instead more informed, effective and ultimately rewarding.

What we do

The Oxfordshire Community Foundation plays a unique and privileged role as an independent advisor / community leader enabling individuals, business and other local organisations to connect and collaborate to improve the lives of Oxfordshire’s most vulnerable and disadvantaged.

We are absolutely passionate about and committed to inspiring and influencing local people to think local and give local.

We strive to be a beacon of philanthropy, enabling the creation of strong and generous communities throughout Oxfordshire that share a common goal to create a better future for all who live or work in the county. A future full of hope, possibility and meaning; not one defined by social isolation, exclusion and deprivation.
