Tomorrow’s People
About us
Tomorrow’s People is a charity that helps disadvantaged people into lasting employment. We are passionate about supporting people into work because we know that it changes lives. More than just a source of income, employment benefits many aspects of people’s lives: improves health, lowers crime, raises self-esteem and many other positive changes.
Since 1984, Tomorrow’s People has helped over 440,000 people on their road to employment. Of those we help into jobs 76% are still working after a year. Crucially, we follow-up with people to make sure their success continues and they get the ongoing support they need. Tomorrow’s People supports disadvantaged people into employment in many communities around the country.
Our work covers: Inverclyde, Glasgow, Newcastle, Merseyside & Liverpool city region, London (Bow, Brixton, Hackney, Hammersmith, Kennington, Southwark, Dagenham, Maidstone), Bristol, Plymouth, Brixham, Brighton, Eastbourne and Hastings.
What we do
Tomorrow’s People provides personalised employment support and training for people who have been long-term unemployed or have never worked before. Employment Advisers treat everyone as an individual, each with their own problems and barriers, their own abilities and aspirations. They sit down with them to explore why they need help and develop an action plan for finding and keeping a job. This often includes confidence building and identifying their strengths, as well as practical support like CV writing, interviewing and accredited training. When people find jobs we stay in touch to make sure they get the continued support they need and to ensure their success is sustained.
